Giving Back - Our Charity Partners
Not only do we look to help you with your mortgage and protection needs, but we also believe in giving back to our community. That is why on every mortgage that completes, we will donate a proportion of our commission to one of our three charity partners chosen by you.
Registered as a charity in 1995, PACT the largest ‘all animal’ welfare charity in the East of England maintains an Animal Sanctuary where 1500 animals are cared for, plus making difference to a further 2500 animals every year. PACT finds good loving homes for over 850 animals and releases back into the countryside over 800 British wild animals annually. This winter PACT cared for 276 hedgehogs that were too small to hibernate in the wild and they will be released in the Spring. PACT welcomes over 120 students for animal welfare work experience and has a therapy centre dedicated to the rehabilitation of disabled people who interact with the animals to gain and regain their health, confidence and self-esteem. PACT has a ‘no kill’ policy and is only financed by public donations.
Nelson’s Journey provides support for children and young people aged 0-17 inclusive, living in Norfolk, who have experienced the death of a significant person in their life. The charity has a clear vision of what they want to provide – Every bereaved child in Norfolk to be able to look forward to a positive future, empowered to reach their full potential. In 2017 they received referrals for 952 children and young people struggling after the death of a loved one. They provide opportunities for young people to meet others and realise they are not alone in their situation, as well as therapeutic 1:1 sessions, youth groups and residential weekends and activity days. They also provide support to parents and carers and training to professionals around the county.
Big C is Norfolk’s Cancer Charity. Since 1980, with the support and fundraising of the local community, we’ve been working to improve the lives of local people affected by cancer. Through our local Support and Information Centres offering free practical and emotional support and information, funding research into cancer across the Norwich Research Park, and investing in vital medical equipment in our county’s main hospitals, we are helping local people get the best cancer care.
Our other Local Charity Partners:
We support our local communities too...
We are proud to be involved with lots of local clubs and groups, providing support to many grass roots sports teams including cycling, football and rugby.
Getting involved with so much at a community level really does mean a lot to us and we would love any other local groups or teams to get in touch if you would like our support too – we will always consider any requests that we get and will look to help where we can.
